"The Road To Steam(Deck)" is a journey

Hello Survivors!
Welcome to the Alpha Build 01.1024.08 of Cybergrid: Beat Survivors!
This time, there have been a series of updates targeting menus, readability in all menus, balance, and performance.
On the "Road to Steam", several menu items have been massively overhauled in terms of readability, as it turned out many texts were not properly recognizable.
"Why not properly recognizable? It was quite readable," you might ask.
Well, there's another piece of news:
Cybergrid: Beat Survivors is officially coming to STEAM, and with full intention and enthusiasm, to the SteamDeck!
So the game's optimization isn't just about finishing it anymore, but also about getting FULL CONTROLLER SUPPORT and a SteamDeck Verification.
Wow... there's a lot happening around the game!
And I, as a developer, find that SUPER COOL! :D
I never thought I would ever publish a game on Steam, let alone on the Steam Deck! :)
But now, with all my heart and my entire free time (besides having a child and a job, of course),
I'm working on developing a great game for you. :)
So, what's new? Well, let's take a look:
- Cybergrid: Beat Survivors is now officially running on Linux (thanks to SteamDeck)
- The menus have finally been massively improved in terms of readability
- It is now possible to switch between menus within a session and retain progress
- The balance between killed enemies, combos, remaining lives, crits, and earned GCs has been adjusted once again (Please give me urgently needed feedback on this point!!!)
- The song selection menu now works. You can finally choose a specific song or let the game randomly select one
- A "test" rhythm bar has been added to the game to help players stay "in rhythm" (VERY early prototype!!)
- The entire game has been given a bit more "juice"
- Many small tweaks here and there because it was urgently needed (Unnecessary code, too much ballast, test nodes, etc.)
Feel free to download and test the officially brand-new LINUX BUILD!
Unfortunately, MAC support is not something I can offer at the moment as I do not own any of these devices and therefore cannot provide support. Please understand.
However, with a little tweaking, the Linux version might run on MAC as well.
Real "pros" can surely manage that. ;)
I hope you have fun with the new build and the new demo.
I'm especially looking forward to your feedback on the balance and, of course, native Linux support. :)
Best regards and happy stomping!
