A few words before we get to the game:
Please keep in mind that this game is still in the absolute heavy pre-alpha stage!
It is full of bugs, unfinished menus, and of course, missing features. I am releasing this version to gather some feedback from you.
Please take a look at the game, give feedback, and let me know if you like it, what you like, and/or what you don’t like and why.
Thank you. :)
----------------------------------------------------------------
Here, I present to you the game I developed.
The idea was quite simple: a game that is entertaining and fun!
No long gaming sessions, but short, crisp rounds that you can play during your lunch break, on the train, or even in the bathroom.
Turn it on, start playing, and have fun!
And all while listening to some really good cyberpunk metal songs.
What’s it about?
You play as a nameless survivor on a futuristic playing field in a crazy TV-Show called "Cybergrid - The Show" (Inspired by The Running Man), fighting off an ever-increasing number of enemies rushing towards you.
Your goal is to dodge the enemies and the nasty laserwall at the edge and survive until the song finishes playing.
And ideally, in time with the music. :)
The more accurately you use the “Beatstomp” in time, the higher your combo, and thus your damage.
And ultimately, the higher your highscore and collected credits.
Planned features?
- Various enemies, each with their own attack style
Shop-based skill system with credits collected in the game(DONE)- Numerous different skills (more bullets, more damage, higher crits, shooting variations)
- Boss fights that strongly align with the mechanics of the ongoing music
- Many more actually not outbrained
Planned ToDos ?
- Putting a lot of effort into performance
- Substantial work on content such as menus, save functions, and usability
- Definitely still a lot of work on balancing
- Adding more content (items, weapon mods, enemies, etc.)
Have fun and let me know in the comments what you`re thinking.
Thank you!
